Preity Zinta is keeping it chic while shooting the rounds for Batwara 1947 promotions. Set to release on August 14, the actress stepped out wearing a striking piece that was fun, feminine and undeniably glamorous. It was also drool-worthy for one major reason: a gorgeous fuchsia Farshi salwar set.
Made by Devnaagri, the three-piece ensemble costs ₹42,500 and comprises a kurta, Farshi salwar and dupatta. Designer Amit Aggarwal crafted it using Silk Chanderi, Modal Satin and Silk Organza. Far from being stiff or formal, the relaxed fit and subtle zari and sequin work strikes the right balance.

Co-starring Sunny Deol, Shabana Azmi, Ali Fazal and Karan Deol, Batwara 1947 is directed by Rajkumar Santoshi and produced by Aamir Khan Productions. It’s a Partition drama that reunites Preity and Sunny for the third time following their previous films Farz, Yeh Raaste Hain Pyaar Ke, The Hero: Love Story of a Spy and Bhaiaji Superhit. Zinta also made an appearance in Sunny’s Dillagi back in 1999.
