Kiara Advani’S ₹5 Lakh-Plus White Look Is Proof White Never Lets You Down on the Red Carpet

Kiara Advani has had quite the stylish month while on promotions for Toxic. Between the insane response to the film’s “Taabahi” song and the recently released trailer, the actress has consistently kept the focus on her when it comes to promotional dressing. Whether attending events or releasing songs/trailers, Kiara knows how to turn heads. At the Toxic trailer launch, Kiara opted for yet another fabulous look starring in a designer all-white outfit worth over ₹5 lakh.

The ensemble was yet another reminder of a red-carpet truth: white really never fails you.

Kiara Advani’s White-on-White Beauty

Kiara rocked a chic white structured corset-style top paired with a silk skirt in the exact same shade. The high slit on the skirt reached thigh-level, making her look tall and lean. Both pieces together created a monochromatic streamlined silhouette.

Kiara decided to play with texture rather than add any contrasting colours to the look. The structure of the corset cinched her waist while the A-line skirt flowed around her legs. She kept hair and makeup minimal, letting her outfit steal the show.

Diamond drop earrings were the only statement accessory she sported for the day.

Why White ALWAYS Looks So High-End

White is a unique colour in fashion because it can look effortlessly minimal yet dramatic and high-end all at once. When an entire outfit is white, it can create a sleek uninterrupted visual. Pairing fabrics like silk, satin and more tailored pieces with white creates texture and depth.

The beauty of a white outfit is photographers will pick up on every detail. The silhouette of the outfit, jewellery and how the fabric moves will stand out when it’s all white. White also photographs well under event lights. Bold prints or dark colours can often become distracting, but white lets the outfit breathe.

Fit is Everything

Kiara’s outfit also is a testament that fit can be more important than colour.

Kiara’s corset top cinched in at the waist while her skirt was long and flowed around her legs. Little details like a thigh slit can help add some variance to an otherwise monotone outfit. It helps break up the silhouette and stops the outfit from looking too formal or bridal.

It’s all about finding that perfect juxtaposition that makes your outfit modern and not just bridal/glamorous.

How to Steal the White Trend

You don’t need to spend a lakh on a designer ensemble to pull off this look. Pairing a white fitted top with a flowy skirt or pants is great for night-time events. Pairing a white shirt with white or cream pants is a great basic white outfit for daytime.

Not into all white? You can easily mix ivory, cream and off-white together to soften the look.

White sarees, modern lehengas and even ivory kurta sets can work for Indian ensembles if you’re pairing them with the right jewellery.
