As per the latest Henley Passport Index 2023, if you are an Indian passport holder you can travel to 60 countries visa-free or easily obtain visas on arrival or apply for a straightforward e-visa. Indian passport holders will have access to the highest number of countries by 2026.
But Indian travellers can still visit these countries without much of a hassle. Keep in mind that entry policies can change at any time, but many of these destinations still welcome Indian travellers fairly easily.

Thailand.
Thailand is one of the countries Indians love to visit. This beautiful island, with its beaches, nightlife, temples and cheap shopping, offers a hassle-free visa process for holidays of less than 30 days. It is indeed the ideal international destination for first-time travellers. Prior to booking, make sure to verify the most recent duration of visa-free access.
Malaysia.
Malaysia keeps a steady flow of Indian tourists thanks to its skyscrapers, rainforests and islands. Kuala Lumpur, Langkawi and Penang are loved by families and honeymooners. The reduced entry restrictions of the country are making it more popular.

Countries may exempt us from having our passports valid for at least a minimum period (often a sixth month period)) or obtaining a straightforward e-visa. But that doesn’t mean we should travel there without. Take proof of onward journey, hotel reservations (if needed), sufficient funds (in cash and/or travel cards) and always have travel insurance where required.
